Jennifer C. Lahl
Jennifer C. Lahl is the founder of the Center for Bioethics and Culture (CBC) and Executive Director of the Bay Area CBC. She spent 15 years working in pediatric nursing, specifically pediatric critical care, pediatric trauma and transport nursing. Ms. Lahl has worked on several writing projects including Basic Maternal Pediatric Nursing (1995) and served for three years as assistant editor for Facts and Comparisons, Nurses Drug Facts. She is a member of the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity.
"Ms. Lahl serves on the North American editorial board for the international journal, Ethics and Medicine, is an Adjunct Fellow of Charles Colson’s Wilberforce Forum and a Fellow of the Council for Biotechnology Policy in Washington, DC.
"She received her B.S. in Nursing from California State University at Fullerton and her M.A. in Bioethics (with honors) from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. She has been interviewed on several radio talk shows including National Public Radio and television news programs on CBS and NBC, participated on the Michael Coren Live show in Ontario Canada and is a frequent speaker at national conferences. Recently she was invited to speak at Stanford University’s Student Biodesign Group. Through her work with the CBC, The Debate of The Century, 'What does it mean to be human?' between Nigel Cameron Ph.D. and Peter Singer was produced to provide a valuable video resource to help people understand what is at stake in this biotech century.
