Jixi power station (大唐鸡西发电厂) is a 850-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant in Heilongjiang Province, China.

Background on Plant

Jixi power station is a four-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 850 MW in Heilongjiang Province. The first eight units were all retired by 2011. Units 9 & 10, totaling 250 MW, were completed in 2003. Units 11 & 12, totaling 600 MW, were completed in 2011. The plant is owned by China Datang.[1][2]

Proposed expansion

An additional 85MW unit was permitted for construction in February 2018.[3]
