Joanna Gualtieri "is an Ottawa-based lawyer who for the past decade has been a strong advocate for the right of Canadians to be informed about workplace wrongdoing and illegality that threatens or harms the public interest. In 1998 she founded the Federal Accountability Initiative for Reform (FAIR), with a mission to promote free expression rights for employees including the right to blow >the whistle on misconduct, corruption and unethical behavior. Ms. Gualtieri has campaigned tirelessly for free speech rights for workers and is a pioneer in the movement to raise public awareness regarding >the invaluable role that conscientious whistleblowers play >in promoting organizational integrity and accountability. She is >responsible for drafting Bill C-201, the Whistleblower’s Human Rights Act, and has been the subject of numerous documentaries and journal articles." [1]
