John R. Nordgren Program Officer of the Henry P. Kendall Foundation.

"John’s primary responsibility is leadership of the Foundation’s Northern Appalachian Landscape Conservation Program. His background includes work as a researcher, writer, program manager and advocate in both Washington, D.C. and the greater Boston area. He graduated with a B.A. in political science from The American University in Washington, and holds a M.A. in public policy from Tufts University. Sandwiched in between, John found time to flirt with a legal career, hike the Northern Rocky, Cascade and Olympic Mountains, and work for two years in the Legislative Program of the Natural Resources Defense Council in Washington. He was most recently on the staff of the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences, where he directed the conservation science programs from 2000-04. John joined the Kendall Foundation in 2005. He lives in Sandwich, Massachusetts with his wife Stacey and their two children." [1]
