- "retired from Alcoa Inc. (New York) in the position of President of Global Manufacturing, in December 2005. Formerly an Executive Director of Alcoa of Australia, John has occupied roles including President and Councillor of A.M.I.R.A., Member of the Curtin University Council and a Director of Australian Centre for Minesite Rehabilitation Research. John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Adelaide, Associate Diploma in Metallurgy (S.A.I.T.), and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy."
