Joss Kent

"Joss Kent joined andBeyond as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in January 2012, and at the same time became a Trustee of Africa Foundation SA. From the outset, he has taken an active interest and leading role in the company’s community and conservation initiatives, which are core to its success. He was previously global CEO of Abercrombie & Kent (A&K), heading up its 61 international offices. Prior to joining the safari industry in a leadership capacity, Joss Kent trained at the Royal Military Academy (Sandhurst) and served as a lieutenant in the British armed forces. Thereafter, he worked as a business analyst, graduated with a Harvard MBA and spent two years as a management consultant with Bain & Co in the USA and UK. Joss is passionate about kitesurfing, scuba diving and drawing, is a certified pilot, fluent in Swahili and basic Spanish."

"Joss has guided and/or planned tailormade safaris for the likes of Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter, Kenny Rogers, Gene Hackman, Hilary Clinton, Lauren Hutton and the British Royal Family. One particular safari took Joss, basketball hero Michael Jordan and his family, along with 15 children from Chicago’s inner-city schools up to Kenya’s Masai Mara. Truly inspired by this cultural exchange, it is no surprise that Joss went on to become a Trustee of Africa Foundation, our community development partner. He remains committed to ensuring that &Beyond and Africa Foundation work hand in hand with the local African communities surrounding our reserves."
