Julian Fennessy
Julian Fennessy "has been the first Executive Director of the Kenya Land Conservation Trust since November 2008.
"Julian has a PhD in Biological Science (ecology of desert-dwelling giraffe), Bachelor in Natural Resource Management and Diploma in Wildlife Management. He has over ten years of experience in species and habitat ecology and conservation, and more specifically land management both in Africa and Australia. He previously worked for IUCN coordinating the Secretariat of the African Elephant Specialist Group, worked as the Ecology Manager of Bush Heritage Australia - a large private land conservation organisation, and the Director and Principal Investigator of the Namibian Elephant and Giraffe Trust.
"Julian is a member of the IUCN Antelope Specialist Group, founding member and Chair of the International Giraffe Working Group, and founding Board member of the Giraffe Conservation Trust. Julian has provided various local, regional and international organisations and state governments on a range of issues connected with wildlife conservation and management, most specifically giraffe related."
