Kamran Talattof

Kamran Talatoff "is a graduate of the University of Tehran (BA); Texas A & I University (MS); and the University of Michigan (MA and PhD). His work focuses on Persian literature and Iranian culture. His research in modern literature ocuses on the interplay of socio-political and cultural factors in literary change and the making of literary history. He has taught a wide variety of courses on modern and classical Persian literatures, Middle Eastern cultures, Middle Eastern cultures, Middle Eastern Women's writing and Iranian history.

"Kamran Talattof's current projects include an article on the concept of sokhan (eloquent speech, discourse) in the works of Nizami Ganjavi and a research project on the poetry of Shahrazad. He is also in the process of editing a language textbook." [1]
