Keith Goulding
Keith Goulding is the Head of the Department of Sustainable Soils and Grassland Systems at Rothamsted Research Station and Scientific Director of the Centre for Soils and Ecosystem Function. He is also the Vice-President (and was previously president in 2009 and 2010) of the British Society of Soil Science. He also manages the Cross-Institute Programme for Sustainable Soil Function (SoilCIP).[1]

Education and Career
Goulding graduated from University of Exeter with a bachelors degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. He then completed a masters in Soil Chemistry at University of Reading, where he studied under Dennis Greenland and a PhD in Cation Exchange in soil at Imperial College, London.[2][1]
He joined the Chemistry Department at Rothamsted Research Station in 1974 when George Cooke was head. Goulding is also a visiting professor at University of Nottingham and China Agricultural University, Beijing, a member of the Society of Chemical Industry, a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Soil Scientists and a Chartered Scientist. He was awarded the Royal Agricultural Society of England’s Research Medal in 2003 for his research into diffuse pollution from agriculture and made an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society of England in 2010. With two colleagues at Rothamsted, he received a certificate for his contribution towards the award of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize to the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.[1]
