Ketu North power station

Ketu North power station was a proposed 2,000-megawatt (MW) gas-fired power plant in Volta Region, Ghana.[1]
As of December 2019, the project has not progressed in more than four years and appears to be cancelled.

Background
The MacBaron Group announced plans to build the Ketu North power plant in January 2013. The Ketu power plant project is meant to be a base load provider for the West Africa Power Pool (WAPP).[1] The project will use liquefied natural gas brought in by train until piped natural gas becomes available.[2] In April 2013, local communities announced that they had set aside land for the project.[3]
The project has been delayed due to government regulatory issues.[4]
