The Khushuut mine is an open cut coking coal mine with a project life of 19 years mine life with production at 8 million tonnes per annum. The project, which is currently being brought into full production, is owned by Mongolia Energy Corporation, a Hong Kong listed public company. The mine is being operated by Leighton Asia.[1]
