The Kiewit Mining Group has operated in North American for 65 years and manages coal mines in Montana, Wyoming and Texas. The company specializes in mine management, production, maintenance and contract mining. Kiewit is currently seeking to expand their operations into Canada.
The company's website claims that since 1995 Kiewit has been involved in the mining of over 675 millions tons of coal. The company operates or manages four surface coal mines that produce upwards of 37 million tons per year.[1]
