Background

The pipeline consists of 65 miles of new-build construction and 113 miles of converted natural gas pipeline. It originates in the Eagle Ford Shale in Texas and delivers crude oil and condensate to multiple terminal facilities that provide access to local refineries, petrochemical plants and docks on the Texas Gulf Coast. It has a capacity of 300,000 bpd. The pipeline is owned by Kinder Morgan, and began operating in 2012.
