Background on Plant

Kurakhov power station is a seven-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 1,517 MW. The original plant first built in 1941 has been retired. The seven operating units are 210-225 MW each, and were completed between 1972 and 1975. The plant is owned by DTEK.[1]
