Biographical Information
"Lady Hopwood moved to Norwich in 1968 and it was here she discovered her interest in social work and the opportunity to explore new prospects. She began working with children's charities in the local area, including Archway and Families House, before taking up a position at Norwich Citizens Advice Bureau. She later held a number of roles in the NHS, including membership of the East Anglian Regional Health Authority.
"It was through her roles as Chair of the Norfolk Probation Committee and magistrate for more than 20 years that led to her work with NORCAS.
"As a trustee of the Norwich Charitable Trusts for more than 10 years, Joyce gained an interest in working on behalf of older people and is currently Chairman of the Norwich Older People's Forum."[1]
