Leora Gal

Leora Gal "is part of Just Vision's Jerusalem office. She was active in Peace Now as well as in the youth branch of Israel's prominent left-wing political party, Meretz. She served as a field instructor in the Israeli Army during compulsory service. Leora received her Masters from La Sapienza University (Rome), and has studied conflict resolution and mediation at Tel Aviv University; her B.A is in English Literature from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She has taught English (ESL) at University of Massachusetts Boston and at the British Council in Israel after completing a TEFL course in Boston, USA. She has also studied Spanish and Portuguese, after which she toured Central America. She volunteered at the Public Committee against Torture during the fall of 2004 and currently takes part in various social justice and human rights activities in Palestine and Israel." [1]
