Liberal Party of Canada sponsorship scandal

The Quebec arm of the Liberal Party of Canada has been implicated in a scandal involving misappropriation and misdirection of public funds via advertising firms that may or may not have donated those funds to the Party.

This has become a major image problem for Paul Martin and a major campaign opportunity for his opposition in the Canadian federal election, 2004.
