Lindsay Hance Kosnik Vice President and Director of Development Jane Goodall Institute.

"A veteran nonprofit fundraiser with international experience, Lindsay Hance Kosnik is responsible for all development activities of the Jane Goodall Institute.

"Ms. Kosnik has grown the Institute development office from a one-person operation to a fully-staffed team engaged in major gifts, planned giving, direct marketing and corporate and foundation fundraising.

"She has 20 years of experience in fundraising, teaching and training, and international development, many of which she spent in sub-Saharan Africa. She was the grants manager for the Democracy and Human Rights Fund and the Ambassadors' Self Help Funds in Cameroon and the Republic of Congo. She also worked as an independent consultant with Save the Children, UNICEF, and Associates in Rural Development, Inc., providing training in capacity building.

"Before joining JGI in June 2003, Lindsay was director of major gifts at The Centre for Development and Population Activities, an international women's empowerment NGO based in Washington, DC. She also served as major gifts associate for the National Audubon Society in New York City.

"Ms. Kosnik served as a United States Peace Corps volunteer, teaching secondary school English in Kenya from 1985-1987. She has degrees from the University of Vermont in secondary education and an MPS in international agriculture and rural development from Cornell University." [1]
