Phase I
Liulin power station originally consisted of four units totaling 1400 MW. The first two units of 100 MW each were put into operation in 1995 and 1996, respectively, at a total investment of 1.1 billion yuan. The units were funded through loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).[1]
In 2008 two more units of 600 MW each began operation.[2]
Phase II
A phase II of an additional 2 x 300 MW unit at the power station has been proposed (Phase II, Units 1-2). Unit 1 began commercial operation in 2012,[3] and unit 2 in December 2014.[4][5]
