Background on Project

SDIC is sponsor of a two-unit coal-fired power plant of 2,000 MW in Anhui Province. In November 2013, SDIC signed a construction contract with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute Corp., with construction slated to begin in 2014 and be completed in 2016.[1]

Environmental permits were issued in March 2014.[2]

The power station went online in 2016.[3][4]

Ownership

The parent company changed from SDIC to China Coal and Wenergy Group in December 2016.[5]
