Background on Project

Heilongjiang Longmay Mining Group was planning to build a single-unit waste coal-fired power plant with a planned capacity of 300 MW in the coal mining city of Shuangyashan.[1]

The project's environmental impact assessment was approved in 2009.[2]

The project was later reported as 2 x 350 MW.[3] However, only 1 x 350 MW unit received a permit for construction in December 2015.[4]

As of November 2019 the project has not begun construction, and plans appear to be deferred or abandoned.
