Loren D. Israelsen
"Mr. Israelsen has been deeply involved in the commercial, political and regulatory issues facing the global dietary supplement industry since 1980. On the commercial side, he served as general counsel and president of Nature’s Way Products Inc. Much of his career has involved creating and supporting efforts to allow broad access to dietary supplements, together with the systems to assure product quality, safety and benefit.

"Mr. Israelsen has served as General Counsel/Vice President to the American Herbal Products Association, Co-counsel to the European American Phytomedicine Coalition, industry liaison to FDA's expert advisory committee on Ephedra and advisor to the Natural Products Quality Assurance Alliance, the Office of Technology Assessment and the Office of Dietary Supplements. He has been an Executive Director of United Natural Products Alliance since 1992. He served as Director of Paracelsian Inc. Since 1992, he served as Executive Director of the Utah Natural Products Alliance, which was instrumental in developing and passing the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994. Mr. Israelsen serves as a Member of Editorial Advisory Board at Nutrition Business Journal." [1]
