Biographical Information

"Mr. Louis Schweitzer has been the Chairman of Management Board at Renault-Nissan BV since March 2002 and also serves as its President. Mr. Schweitzer serves as Honorary President of Renault SA. He has been the President of France's Equal Opportunities and Anti-Discrimination Commission of the (HALDE) since March 2005. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Renault SA from June 10, 1999 to April 2005 and also served as its Executive Vice President of Finance and Planning. He served as President of the Renault-Nissan Alliance Board from May 2002 to April 2005. Mr. Schweitzer served as Secretary of Koninklijke Philips Electronics NV from 2005 to March 2008.

"Mr. Schweitzer served as Inspector of Finances and from 1981 to 1986, He became a Treasury auditor in 1970 and served as a Civil Servant at the Budget Department then served for five years as chief of the staff of Mr. Laurent Fabius, (who was Minister of Budget in 1981, Minister for Industry and Research in 1983, and Prime Minister from 1984 to 1986) and Deputy Minister of Budget, Minister of Industry and Research and Prime Minister of France. He serves as Senior Independent Director of Veolia Environnement S.A. He serves at Alcan France S.A.S. He serves as Director of L'Oreal India Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Schweitzer has been a Director of L'Oreal SA since April 26, 2005. He served as a Director of RCI Banque SA.

Mr. Schweitzer holds a Masters degree in Law and studied at the "Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris" and a Bachelor of Laws."[1]

Louis Schweitzer іs the son оf Pierre-Paul Schweitzer, Managing Director оf the International Monetary Fund (IMF) frоm 1963 tо 1973. He іs the grandnephew оf Albert Schweitzer, аnd sо related tо Jean-Paul Sartre.
