Background

Lovapalem power station is a 1,000 megawatt coal-fired power station proposed for Lovapalem village, Visakhapatnam district, by the small engineering company My Home Power. It is listed on the India government's 2011 list of proposed coal projects.

However, the project is not specifically listed as a part of My Home Power's "expansion plans" on its website, as of 2012. As of 2014 the company website is no longer in existence.
