The first phase of Licun Coal Mine has an annual production capacity of 3 million tonnes(Mt) per year, while the total capacity could hit 5Mt/year.[1]

Coal Mine Background

On July 25th 2012, National Development and Reform Commission has approved the development of Licun Coal Mine located in Lu'an Mining Area of Shanxi Province with a designated production capacity of 3Mt/year for the first phase.[2]

On April 11th 2018, Licun Coal Mine stepped into the stage of experimental operation, which often lasts 1 to 6 months, with the permission from Shanxi Provincial Coal Industry Bureau. It was required to complete the experimental operation by October 11th 2018.[3]

On December 21st 2018, Licun Coal Mine has successfully passed the process of completion check and acceptance prior to formal operation. [4]
