Ludwig von Mises was the most prominent economics theorist in the Austrian School of economics, and the mentor of Friedrich Hayek. Von Mises's influence has mainly been exerted through the political philosophy of Libertarianism and particularly through the Atlas Group of corporate-funded think-tanks.
