Lynn Casey is the Chairman and CEO of the Minneapolis-based PR firm, Padilla Speer Beardsley

Casey is also a director of the Council of Public Relations Firms. Speaking at the Midwest Journalism Conference held in Bloomington, Minnesota, in April 2005, Casey referred to the controversy over video news releases as a "wake-up call" for her industry. She told the audience that a task force has been created to review the voluntary guidelines on VNRs. "Sometimes you need to hit bottom before a true cleansing can begin," she said.[1]
