Biographical Information
"Madeleine is the Executive Director of the EthicMark® Awards for advertising that uplifts the human spirit and society. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Currents in Commerce, the monthly newsletter of the World Business Academy, and frequently writes on energy, climate change, economic, and food security issues.
"Madeleine’s work in the public and private sectors has given her a unique perspective on aligning diverse interests to solve pressing global challenges. As the former Vice President of the World Business Academy for five years, she was responsible for analyzing global and regional issues and trends, editing all the Academy’s publications, representing the Academy as a member of the Hawaii Energy Policy Forum, and supporting and expanding the Academy’s network. She edited the Academy’s 2007 book, Freedom from Mid-East Oil.
"She previously served as the Rule of Law Liaison on an American Bar Association project in Macedonia that worked with Macedonian judges, prosecutors and lawyers to create a new legal framework for a democratic society. She was also a Senior Deputy Attorney General in Hawaii, the Attorney General of the State of Chuuk in the Federated States of Micronesia, counsel to the Governor of Guam, and a policy advisor to the President of the Hawaii State Senate."[1]
