Mark Bolland
"A graduate of the University of York, Mark was adviser to the Director General of the Advertising Standards Authority from 1989-1991 and then the first Director of the Press Complaints Commission, He then joined St James's Palace as Deputy Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales, where he was awarded the 2001 PR Week “Professional of the Year”, and managed a number of HRH's philanthropic interests. He now works as an independent communications consultant.
"He is an ongoing Trustee of the David Ross Foundation (DRF) and on the Board of two other grant making foundations- the Helen Hamlyn Trust and the Middlesbrough & Teesside Philanthropic Foundation - and the educational charity, The Open Futures Trust."[1]
Mark Bolland was Deputy Private Secretary to the Prince of Wales 1997–2002. In 2008 he was appointed a Trustee of The Helen Hamlyn Trust, and in 2010 of the primary school educational initiative "Open Futures". He is also a Trustee of the Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation. He entered a civil partnership with longtime partner Lord Black of Brentwood (Guy Black), former Press Secretary to Rt Hon Michael Howard MP and now Executive Director, Telegraph Media Group and a Conservative member of the House of Lords. The partnership was registered at Islington Town Hall on Saturday, 11 February 2006. Murdoch MacLennan, Chief Executive of the Telegraph Media Group, and Rebekah Brooks, then editor of The Sun, were witnesses. wiki
