Mark G. Pomar (ex officio) "is president of IREX after serving as managing director, vice president, and director of media programs. Before joining IREX in 1994, he held several senior positions in the US government, including executive director of the Board for International Broadcasting and chief of the USSR Division of Voice of America. From 1975 to 1982, Dr. Pomar was an assistant and later associate professor of Russian studies at the University of Vermont." [1]
