Mark Randazzo
Mark Randazzo "has worked for nonprofits and funders in the U.S., Africa, and Asia to promote equitable development and social justice for nearly three decades, focusing on strengthening social movements, community-based organizations and civil society networks. Mark has an MA in Development Studies, and he currently serves as coordinator of the Funders Network on Trade and Globalization." [1] Now known as the Edge Funders Alliance.
"He has an MA in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia in the UK, and has worked within phlianthropy and for non-profit organizations in Africa, Asia, Europe and the US. Mark represented Oxfam America in West Africa from 1991 to 1997, and was Executive Director of JustAct/Youth Action for Global Justice before joining FNTG in 2001." [2]
"From 2001 to June 2012 Mark coordinated the work of the Funders Network on Transforming the Global Economy, which was launched at the WTO Ministerial in Seattle as the Funders Network on Trade and Globalization. He has held positions within several non-profits and grantmaking organizations, serving over the years as Executive Director, JustAct: Youth Action for Global Justice (1997-2001), West Africa Representative and Regional Director, Oxfam America (1991-1997), Grants Director for West and Central Africa, United Support of Artists for Africa (1987-1990), Canvas Team Leader, Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy (1987) and Asia/Pacific Assistant Director and Africa Program Advisor for US Save the Children (1981-1985). Mark served for two and a half years in the Peace Corps in the then Central African Empire (1977-1980), and obtained a Master’s degree from the School of Development Studies at the University of East Anglia (UK) in 1986. He is based in San Francisco with his partner Yeshica Weerasekera and their daughter Samudra." [1]
