Biographical Information
"Matthew Patten is Chief Executive of the Mayor's Fund for London, whose charitable mission is to give disadvantaged young Londoners the skills and opportunities to get a decent job and escape the threat of poverty. The charity’s projects focus on core skills, such as literacy and numeracy, health and well-being, such as nutrition and personal safety, and employment. Matthew has over 20 years' senior management and marketing experience in the UK and worldwide in the private, public and third sectors. Previously, Matthew was Chief Executive of The Lord's Taverners, leading the modernisation of the organisation into one of the UK’s foremost youth sports and disability charities. Previous positions include Chief Executive, M&C Saatchi Sponsorship; Deputy Chairman, SP Holdings PLC; and Director of Communications for Clubs for Young People, working with over 400,000 disadvantaged young people. He is also a Trustee of St John Ambulance."[1]
