Meizhou Wan power station

The power station is also referred to as Meizhou Bay No. 1 Power Station and Meizhou Bay No. 2 Power Station.

Background on Plant
The two existing coal-fired units of Meizhou Wan power station, totaling 786 MW, were brought online in 2001. The plant is owned by SDIC and Genting Group.[2][3]
Description of Expansion
SDIC is currently building two additional coal-fired units at this plant, with a total planned capacity of 2,000 MW.[4] The new units are scheduled to be completed in 2017.[5]
One of the units was commissioned in July 2017.[6] The other unit was commissioned in September 2017.[7]
