Michael Boskin
Michael J. Boskin is T. M. Friedman Professor of Economics, Senior Fellow of the Hoover Institution Stanford University, and a director at Exxon Mobil Corporation.
Boskin is a member of 2008 Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani's economic policy team.[1]
He is married to Chris Boskin.

Boskin was born on September 23, 1945. He received his B.A. with highest honors and the Chancellor's Award as outstanding undergraduate in 1967 from the University of California at Berkeley, where he also received his M.A. in 1968 and his Ph.D. in 1971.
He was in 1994 a member of the 'Senior Advisory Board' of the Center on Regulation and Economic Growth of the Alexis de Tocqueville Institution (AdTI) and Mr. Boskin was in 1995 a member of the 'Senior Advisory Board' of AdTI. [1]
Merrick Carey (then president of AdTI) wrote on February 8, 1994 to David P. Nicoli of Philip Morris
"We plan to activate our key Advisory Board members, including Jack Kemp, Robert Kasten, Dick Armey, Michael Boskin and others to mount a public awareness campaign immediately (see enclosed list of Center on Regulation and Economic Growth participants)." [2]
Boskin was chairman of a Congressional advisory Commission on the Consumer Price Index. The report issued said that the government was and had been overstating the inflation rate for some time. Corrections in the trend Boskin suggested would paint a rosier economic picture of wage growth over recent decades than the existing one, and would lower the amount given to social security and military benefits. Some of these revisions have been made by government agencies already.
