Biographical Information
"Michael was International Chief Executive of KPMG from 2005 until he retired in September 2009, having previously been Chief Executive of KPMG’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Throughout his career he has been closely involved with a number of charities and public bodies, including his appointment in 2007 as the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy for the reconstruction of Southern Iraq and Chairman of the Basra Development Commission.
"Became Non Executive Director of Cobham plc in December 2010 and of Intertek Group plc in April 2011. Economic Development Advisor to the Government of Afghanistan."[1]#
