Mike Daniels
" Mike is head of land and science at the charity, the John Muir Trust. His role includes responsibility for managing the Trust’s properties.
"Mike is a strong advocate of rewilding. He saw the beginning of the regeneration of the Creag Meagaidh estate in Scotland as a 16-year old volunteer in the 1980s. He’s been passionate about ecological restoration ever since.
"Before the Trust, Mike worked for seven years with the Deer Commission for Scotland. He has held positions with the Macaulay Institute, Scottish Agricultural College and Scottish Natural Heritage.
"He has a degree in Ecology (Wildlife Management) and a PhD on the biology and conservation of the wildcat in Scotland. When he’s not working he enjoys being out and about on the hills and in nature."[1]
