Biographical Information

Sir Mike Tomlinson, is the former chief inspector of schools who headed the government's review of A levels for Ofsted. He supports the controversial work of Monty Roberts. [1]

"Mr. Mike Tomlinson, CBE, served as the Chief Inspector for Schools and was responsible for the work of Ofsted (the Office for Standards in Education) from December 2000 to April 2002. Mr. Tomlinson served as an Head of independent expert inquiry into A Level Standards in 2002.

"He serves as the Chairman and Member of Education of Advisory Council of RM PLC. From 2002 to 2007, he served as the Chair of The Learning Trust, a not-for-profit body responsible for running the education services for Hackney, and serves as a member of the Governing Body of the University of Hertfordshire. He serves as the Chair of the DfES' (Department for Education and Skills) Working Group on educational reform. He has been an Independent Non-Executive Director of RM PLC., since February 2, 2004. He serves as the Chairman and Member of Education Advisory Council at RM Plc. Mr. Tomlinson holds degree from Durham University in Chemistry." [1]
