Background on Project
Guizhou Mingchuanhui Energy Investment Co. is planning a 700 MW captive coal-fired power station for aluminum production in 2015.[1]
Construction was planned for 2015 and operation in 2017,[2] but as of 2017 the plant has still not been permitted.
Plans for the coal plant appear to be replaced with the 1,050 MW Jinlian Xingren Aluminum power station proposed by Hangzhou Jinjiang Group. Mingchuanhui Xingren power station is likely abandoned.
