Moneo Metals
A Report from 2001 noted that: "Peter Cordin, the CEO of Vanuatu-registered Moneo Metals, was a key figure in Esmeralda Exploration. In mid-August 2001, the Australian businessman is heading an enterprise that will begin processing nickel from a mine in New Caledonia. Conservationists are worried that the $A1bn nickel venture will have serious environmental effects. Esmeralda Exploration held a 50 stake in the Arul gold mine in Romania, the site of Europe's largest environmental disaster in January 2000." [1]
