'Mottahedeh Development Services (MDS), "based in Maryland, United States, aims to provide skills, models and other assistance to realize the vision of active service to the larger community as an immediate and organic expression of Faith. Their mission is to assist and stimulate the spirit and action of service to mankind by the Baha'i community [see Baha'i Faith) resulting in social and economic development. They will facilitate community-owned social and economic development for the positive transformation of individuals, their families, and communities. They apply universal spiritual principles as a guiding force for sustainable social change."
