Background on Plant

Mudanjiang-2 power station is a five-unit coal-fired power plant with a total capacity of 1,230 MW in Heilongjiang Province. The first four units, totaling 400 MW, were retired in 2010. Units 5-7, totaling 630 MW, were completed between 1989 and 1995. Units 8 & 9, totaling 600 MW, were completed in 2010-11. The plant is owned by China Huadian.[1]
