In April 2010, Jacqui Patterson of the NAACP Climate Justice Initiative spent nine days interviewing local residents of communities near coal plants in New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Connecticut. Patterson's accounts can be found here:
