Nancy Newcomb
Nancy Newcomb (1945) has been a member of the Bernard Van Leer Group Foundation "since 2001 and was a Senior Corporate Officer at Citigroup Inc., where she was responsible for monitoring and assessing credit, market and other risks faced by the global financial services company arising from its business operations and the external environment. Before assuming this position in 1998, she had been in Citibank’s corporate bank as a group executive responsible for major global corporate clients. For 5 years prior to 1993, she has been Citicorp’s Chief Financial Officer charged with managing its liquidity, funding, market risk management and capital position. Ms. Newcomb began her banking career in 1968 as an economist, after earning a B.A. from Connecticut College in 1967 and an M.A. in economics from Boston University in 1968. She also later attended the Program for Management Development at the Harvard Business School. In 1999, Ms. Newcomb was elected to chair the Board of the New York Historical Society on which she has served since 1996. She also is a member of the Board of Connecticut College, the New York Academy of Finance and Young Concert Artists." [1]
