Chongqing Energy Investment Group is currently planning to build a two-unit waste coal-fired power plant with a total planned capacity of 600 MW in Chongqing Province.[1][2][3][4]

The power station received environmental clearance and began construction in April 2015.[5]

However, construction soon stalled for unknown reasons, and as of June 2019 the plant appears to be abandoned.
