The National Economic and Social Rights Initiative (NESRI) "promotes a human rights vision for the United States that ensures dignity and access to the basic resources needed for human development and civic participation. Towards this end, NESRI works with organizers, policy advocates and legal organizations to incorporate a human rights perspective into their work and build human rights advocacy models tailored for the U.S." [1]

- Catherine Albisa - is the Executive Director of the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative, and an attorney specializing in the implementation of human rights standards in the United States.
- Sharda Sekaran - is the Associate Director of the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative.
- Liz Sullivan - is the Education Program Director at the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative.
- Laura Gosa - is the Program Associate at the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative.

- Mimi Abramovitz - is a professor of social policy at Hunter College School of Social Work and at the Social Welfare Doctoral Program, City University of New York.
- Rhonda Copelon - is a faculty member at CUNY law school and the Treasurer of the Board.
- Lisa Crooms - is the Secretary of the Board and the Director of the LL.M. Graduate Studies at Howard Law School and teaches Contracts, Constitutional Law, and Gender and Law.
- Martha Davis - is the Chairperson of the Board for NESRI.
- Paul Farmer - medical anthropologist and physician, is a founding director of Partners In Health, an international charity organization that provides direct health care services and undertakes research and advocacy activities on behalf of those who are sick and living in poverty.
- Patrick Mason is Professor of Economics and Director, African-American Studies Program, Florida State University.
- Bruce Rabb - Counsel at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in New York City.
