"Nicole has been interested in marine issues since her early years exploring the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, surrounding her home island of St. Croix. She continued to pursue her interests in marine conservation while employed at The Ocean Foundation. While working at the Foundation, Nicole managed all grantee relations, worked on development programs, communications and provided extensive research on marine issues affecting the Caribbean, Africa and the coastal United States. Nicole also provided consulting services to The Curtis and Edith Munson Foundation, The Surfrider Foundation and the Alaska Oceans Program. Prior to joining EarthEcho, Nicole studied film production at the Toronto Film School, pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming a documentary filmmaker. Nicole studied at George Washington University and graduated Cum Laude from Drew University with a degree in History and a double minor in African Studies and Theatre." [1]
