Nimir Petroleum was taken over by Knightsbridge Investments Limited in October 2004. As result the company name was changed to Knightsbridge Petroleum (UK) Limited.
The 2004 statement listed Knightsbridge's main businesses as:
- the exploration and production of oil and gas in Colombia and Venezuela through Hocol SA and Hocol Venezuela BV; and
- the manufacture and distribution of specialty chemicals through Nimir Chemicals Company Ltd, an international chemicals company based in Dubai (UAE) with subsidiaries in Pakistan, UAE and Egypt." [1]
