Background on Plant

The three-unit, 240-MW coal-fired Novo-Ziminskaya power station is owned by EuroSibEnergo. The plant’s three units were brought online between 1981 and 1983.[1][2] In April 2016 it was reported that the plant's owner had held talks with Gazprom on making the plant a pilot project for converting coal-fired turbines to run on gas.[3]
