Background on Plant

The three-unit, 240-MW coal-fired Novo-Ziminskaya power station is owned by EuroSibEnergo. The plant’s three units were brought online between 1981 and 1983. In April 2016 it was reported that the plant's owner had held talks with Gazprom on making the plant a pilot project for converting coal-fired turbines to run on gas.
