"The Hon Bob McMullan MP. Parliamentary Secretary for International Development Assistance, launched this new, free national series of forums on global poverty and development in Melbourne on Wednesday 30 July 2008.
"One Just World will tackle some of the big issues that face us as a global community - climate change and development, poverty and human rights, gender equality, Pacific perspectives on governance and security, and HIV/AIDs. A panel of prominent and engaging speakers including Federal Government Ministers will give their views and then open up for contributions, questions and discussion from the audience.
An initiative of International Women's Development Agency, World Vision Australia and AusAID, the One Just World series aims to inform and provide ways to get more involved in making the changes needed to end global poverty and inequality and together build a more just and sustainable future." [1]
