Background on Plant

PLTU Cilacap power station is a proposed 5,000 MW power station in Cilacap by PT Jawa Energy. The initial phase is for 2,000 MW by 2018, and 3,000 MW by 2021-2022.[1]

As of November 2014 the company was still seeking a permit for the land.[1]

Construction was planned to begin in 2015, but in February 2015 it was reported that the project would likely be delayed due to licensing issues with the Ministry of Agricultural and Spatial / National Land Agency (BPN).[2]
